Are students required to do any science projects?
Yes!  All students are required to construct a science project in the Fall semester.  These projects are based on various engineering problem solving events such as bridge building, model rocketry, egg drop apparatus, catapults, egg cars, gliders, marble machines, and more.  These events are judged as a campus competition typically near Halloween each year.  Winners in each competition will be recognized at school and receive awards.
Additionally, students may be required to complete out-of-class projects as part of the normal instruction.  Some of these projects may be given class time and some may not.  It is the student's responsibility to complete these projects as assigned.  Some student's may find it necessary to stay after school or come in early to accomplish this at times.
