7th Grade

9/25/07  Duke Talent Identification Program:  Letters went out this week to eligible students.  Parents must mail the forms to Duke by October 1.  If you have questions, please call (972-343-7513) me or contact Duke at 919-998-9100.  Information is also available on their website.  Click here for a slideshow on the program (It takes a minute or so to download).  If you qualify or feel you should qualify for free or reduced lunches, please let me know, and I can give you a fee grant letter so that the test is $30 instead of $73.

8th Grade

9/25/07  PSAT forms are out!  Jackson 8th graders can take the PSAT at Jackson on Wednesday,  October 17.  The cost is $15.  I have 56 spots.  First come, first served.  the PSAT is open to all 8th graders.  Click here for more information.

9/25/08  Testing for the gifted and talented program is ongoing.  I anticipate sending permission to test letters out this week for those who are already on my list.  If you think you should be on the list, email me.  

If you are having trouble in any of your classes, I have a bit of advice.  The first thing you should do is to talk to your teacher and arrange some tutoring time.  This helps immensely.   

If you are spending an inordinate amount of time every night on homework, talk to your teachers.  There might be a more productive way for you to study.  You can also make an appointment to see me.  I'm available to help you streamline your studying.
