^{Background Information}              

     Greetings!  I just wanted to take a moment to let you know a little about my background.  I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English and a minor in history in 1994.  After spending my first two years teaching middle school English in Fort Worth, I found my way to Grand Prairie ISD.  Since then, I have had the privilege to teach in several Grand Prairie schools and often see former students when I am out with my family.

     I am absolutely thrilled to be the Advanced Academics Specialist for Jackson!  Gifted students and the Pre-AP program are my passions.  I am committed to working with teachers, parents, and students to find the best fit of classes and activities for each individual student while they are here.  If there's ever anything with which I can help, please let me know!
