BACKGROUND
I was born and raised in Abilene, Texas where I graduated from Abilene High School and received my B.F.A. in Graphic Design from Abilene Christian University. Shortly after, I began my career as a Graphic Designer. In July of 2005 I married my husband, Joey, also a teacher and soccer coach. We moved to the DFW area two years ago and enjoy the area. After 5 years in the design business, I decided to begin teaching art, something I always wanted to do. My experience at Jackson Middle School as a first-year teacher has been a positive one. I absolutely love teaching art and building relationships with my students. My goal as a teacher is to create a positive environment where my students are not only challenged, but have fun.
