Jackson Middle School

I am very happy to be a part of this wonderful school district. I have one child who is in third grade. I graduated from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls in 1990 with a BA in Social Work; I then received my teaching certification from Tarleton State University in Stephenville. During the years leading up to my public school career, I taught in the Japanese school system in Tokyo, worked as a Juvenile Detention Officer for Wichita County, and as a Mental Health Technician in an adolescent psychiatric hospital. I feel so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to experience these things. I know they prepared me to be a better classroom teacher. I began teaching in 1996 and cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I love the students and take my responsibilities to them very seriously. My greatest wish is for every single student to reach the highest level of success they are capable. I will do whatever I can to facilitate that goal. I have an open door policy when it comes to classroom visits. Please just stop at the office and obtain a visitors pass first.
