Hey JMS parents!

It's not too early to start thinking about next year. Matter of fact, it's probably best that we start now. We need dedicated volunteers for Jackson Middle School PTA. It's fun, exciting and most of all it's a way to let your student know your are interested in their education. It only requires what you can give...please think about volunteering for next year.

Please submit names of parents and/or teachers that you believe would be interested in working on the PTA executive board next year to jms_pta@yahoo.com. Listed below are the offices and chair positions with a brief description:

PRESIDENT:
Preside over meetings, sits on all committees & delegates.

VICE PRESIDENT:
Aide to the president.

TREASURER:
Keeps all financial records.

SECRETARY:
Keeps all written records.

HISTORIAN:
Photographs events, provides write ups to Council, Area and State.

PARLIMENTARIAN:
Keeps order in all meetings.

MEMBERSHIP CHAIR:
Campaigns for members.

CONCESSIONS CHAIR:
Stocks and runs concessions during sporting seasons.

VOLUNTEER CHAIR:
Gets volunteers for PTA sponsored events.

DAY TIME VOLUNTEER CHAIR:
Work with faculty and staff for volunteers during the school day.

PROGRAMS CHAIR:
Secures programs for PTA meetings.

FUNDRAISER CHAIR:
Coordinates all fundraising events.

DANCE CHAIR:
Plans & Coordinates all school dances.

TEACHER LIASON:
Sits in on PTA meetings and coordinates between PTA and faculty & staff.
