I was happy to return to my alma mater, Jackson Middle
School, in the 2005-06 school year. It was 1971 when
I first set foot in Jackson Jr. High School, as a
seventh grader. It was a lot different back then.
Sixth grade was still in elementary and the ninth
grade was still in junior high. However, I remember
having a great time playing in the band, singing in
choir, attending athletic events, and going to dances
that featured live bands. I enjoyed my academic classes,
but I had the most fun making new friends and changing
classes. Well that's enough about me.
Jackson Middle School is rich in history and tradition
that focus on school pride as well as high expectations.
There are outstanding faculty and staff who expect
excellence and work diligently to ensure that students
are successful. Students are encouraged to do their
best at all times. However, if they are struggling
with academic, behavior, or emotional problems, then
they can get the help they need by attending tutoring
or talking with our counselors.
We are proud of our school, and we expect great things
from the administration, faculty, staff and students!
As our theme this year, I have chosen "Simply
The Best" because that applies to Jackson Middle
School.
Go you Mighty Eagles!
