STAR STUDENT REVIEWS

WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS
by Wilson Rawls is the best book I have ever read. It is about a ten year old boy that wanted two dogs but his family was very poor. So he had to get his own money by working for it. His dogs names were little Ann and old Dan. Little Ann was the smart one that always know if a raccoon was around. Old Dan was strong and always went after the coon even if he could not catch it. There are bullies who try to hurt old Dan and little Ann. Billy loved his dogs so much he would do anything and everything for them. They had entered a big coon hunt and there was a contest for best looking dog. They enter little Ann. Little Ann won the contest;Billy was so happy. The story started in the summer and Billy earned the money to get the dogs by the fall.
