STAR STUDENT REVIEWS

ACHINGLY ALICE by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor

This book really has some things that you had never heard before so you need to read it.
It is about a girl who lives with her dad, and Lester, her only brother. Alice does not have a mom because she died when Alice was a little girl. Also Alice has two best friends--Pamela and Elizabeth. These three girls do everything together, they also support each other. Alice wants to have a mom really bad so Alice introduced her teacher Miss Summers to her dad and they liked each other. There is only one little problem and that is that Alice’s vice principal likes her teacher too, and Miss Summers also likes her vice principal, so the teacher is in between her two loves. Alice has her own guy too and his name is Bill, but there is a guy that also likes her and they both have classes together. So Bill is really upset that there is a guy that likes her so he decides to tell her that he likes her too. Well Alice has a lot of work to do because she is trying to get her teacher and dad together. Alice and her friends had a lot of things to go through together like prom, guys, and what girls go through. Later on Alice finds out that her teacher is not in love with her vice principal, so Alice gets all happy and tries to get her dad to go back out with her. At the end of the book Alice finds her true love and she has a new mom to talk to, so Alice is very happy with how everything turn out. Alice is really happy with her new family and so is her dad.
